"Women’s Health Physiotherapy"

Women may face a range of complex health issues throughout different life stages. Some associated with pregnancy and the child bearing years, ongoing post-partum incontinence issues, breast cancer management & rehabilitation and a general decline in strength with age. Many women assume that they must live with these conditions or that there is nothing that can be done to improve their quality of life, however this is not the case

Some of the issues that we can offer assessment & treatment of include;

We have specifically trained Women’s Health Physiotherapists who can provide a thorough assessment and an in-depth discussion about the most effective way to manage and treat these specific health issues.

Initial assessments are conducted in a private and safe environment by female Physiotherapists and take up to 60 minutes.

Diagnosis & treatment plans are designed in line with the latest evidence based practice and a delivered with a model of returning to full function and quality of life whether that be returning to exercise post partum or managing stress incontinence later in life.

Treatment to achieve these goals may include exercises to retrain or repair muscle strength & coordination, ultrasound for patient biofeedback, massage, Pilates or other specific rehabilitation activities.
