This exercise program has been designed by FIFA for all levels of football players. It is called the F-Marc FIFA "11+" Program.
The "11+" program for injury prevention has been scientifically shown to significantly lower the risk of injury (37% fewer training injuries and 29% fewer match injuries). It was published in the British Medical Journal in 2008.
The Football (Soccer) Warm-up and Injury Prevention Exercise Program includes:
- A series of running exercises including warming up and active stretching for football / soccer players
- A series of exercises focusing on core and leg strength, balance and plyometrics
- Running at high speeds with directional change
